About Maggie Lehnert Kossowski

Maggie Lehnert Kossowski has been a meditator for over 35 years and has taught extensively throughout Europe, Russia and South America. Born in Poland and raised in Argentina, Maggie studied English Philology at the Universities of Pozńan and Gdańsk in Poland. She is well-schooled in meditation practices and has a deep knowledge of the history and traditions of Stupas—sacred monuments that symbolize peace, prosperity and harmony. Maggie has worked closely with her architect husband Wojtek Kossowski in the design and construction of 22 Stupas in countries around the world and played a key role in the building of the Enlightenment Stupa of Benalmádena, the largest Stupa in the West. Since its inauguration in 2003, Maggie has served as President of the Asociación Cultural Karma Kagyu de Benalmádena, the cultural association that oversees the activities and administration of the Enlightenment Stupa. She lives in Benalmádena, Spain with her two daughters.
