Life-Long Meditator & Teacher
Tsony Francis Devroux was born in Argenteuil, a suburb of Paris and became a Buddhist monk at the young age of 19. His journey to find a deep meaning to life led him to Scotland, then on to France where he completed six years of retreat under the guidance of a great and beloved meditation master. Tsony served for 15 years as Abbott of the meditation center, the largest in the West, where hundreds have completed traditional three-year retreats. In 2007, after 25 years of monastic life he left the community to teach meditation studies and practices throughout the US and Europe. Tsony resides in Virginia with his wife Wendelin Wagner, an educator, and serves as resident teacher of a meditation center in the Shenandoah Valley.
