Life-Long Meditator & Teacher
Tsony Francis Devroux (aka Lama Tsony) was born in Argenteuil, a suburb of Paris. He became a Buddhist monk at the young age of 19. His search for meaning led him first to Scotland, then back to France where he completed six years of retreat under the guidance of the great, beloved Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Lama Gendun Rinpoche. After this period of intensive practice, for 15 years Tsony served as abbot of the meditation center in France where hundreds of practitioners have spent years in retreat. After 25 years, he left the French monastic community to travel and teach meditation practices and philosophy throughout the US and Europe. Tsony now serves as resident teacher of a meditation center in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley where he resides with his wife, Wendelin Wagner. See Lama Tsony’s website here.
