About Tokpa Korlo

Tokpa Korlo is a gifted musician, photographer, videographer, and sobriety activist with a large international following. Born in Austin, Texas into a family of meditators, he has lived in the US, Europe, and Asia and has travelled the world extensively. Recognized as an exceptional jazz guitarist since his early teens, Tokpa studied Jazz Performance and Composition at the California Institute of the Arts and at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, where he was honored with their “Outstanding Guitarist” award.

Like many artists Tokpa struggled with substance abuse before rediscovering his childhood roots in meditation and changing the direction of his life. Today, Tokpa shares his inspirational journey through photography, music, video and film. His work is based on a continuing effort to bring truth and clarity to this world through his art forms, and with it the passionate expression of sound, depth, color and light. The living embodiment of the transformative power of meditation, Topka brings his artistic talents and heartfelt insight to the Mindworks team as Chief Creative Officer and a Mind Trainer. He lives with his wife and young son in Prague, Czech Republic.
