The 6th Stage in your Journey to Compassion
Compassion is the final stage of Journey to Compassion. In this course, we complete the presentation of tonglen, sending and taking practice. We also continue our training in exchanging self for others by combining it with breath awareness practice, learning to overcome obstacles, and practicing boundless compassion in everyday life situations. Lessons include:
- Leave behind prejudice and apply compassion unconditionally
- Avoid empathy burnout, and learn why true compassion is limitless
- Gain a subtler understanding of this thing we call ‘self’
- Experience the self as being part of a greater whole
- Discover the meaning of bodhisattva, one who aspires to be awake
- Recognize why all beings everywhere are worthy of compassion
